A pair of 2015 breakout stars, Dietrich Fast and Georgios Zisimopoulos, final-tabled the event. It was Fast’s second WPT final table this month; he won the WPT L.A. Poker Classic for his first career major.

Speaking of titles, 2016 Aussie Millions Main Event champion Ari Engel continued to ride high on the WSOP Circuit, picking up his eighth career Circuit ring at a preliminary event at WSOPC Atlantic City. It was the Toronto native’s second victory and 10th score of 2016.
In Australia, Alexander Lynskey also added a second title this season, winning the Main Event at the Australasian Poker Challenge in Sydney. Lynskey won the Opening Event a few days prior to his Main Event victory.
Lynskey has been quickly moving up the Aussie ranks; he sits second on the GPI Australia National Rankings.
