The posters, which were shared by the studio on their social media channel, feature a closer look at some of the main characters in Thor: Love and Thunder. Fans can see Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster (a.k.a The Mighty Thor), Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher, Taika Waititi’s Korg, Russel Crowe’s Zeus, and finally the most surprising entry on the list, Thor’s Goats, who are named Tooth Grinder and Tooth Gnasher. While fans are loving the art on the posters, the two goats have left them having a good laugh.

Apart from the character posters, Marvel Studios has also revealed the official IMAX poster for the film, which only features Thor, Mighty Thor, Valkyrie, and Gorr. Some of the other Thor: Love and Thunder posters revealed include the film’s official poster for RealD 3D, Dolby, and ScreenX USA. Each poster is flooded with a vast color palette, with different members of the cast making an appearance on each. Thor’s goats are not left out, and also appear on one of the film’s many posters.

Seems like the studio is really playing up the goats, because they also appear in the new teaser trailer and the cast promotional video. In the new Thor: Love and Thunder teaser, the goats are seen tied to a rather large ship, which possibly belongs to Thor, and then pulling it into the sky. As part of the cast promotional video, on the other hand, director Taika Waititi keeps mentioning the goats and their appearance in the film. At one point, Hemsworth is even heard asking, “seriously, why the goat obsession?” Waititi’s response is, “no reason,” but then he immediately looks down to pet a goat that is grazing nearby. It remains to be seen whether the goats play an important role in Thor: Love and Thunder, or if mentioning them is just the cast and crew’s way of sticking to the humorous theme of the film.

Thor: Love and Thunder follows the journey of Hemsworth’s titular character following the events of Avengers: Endgame. Fans last saw him get on a ship with the Guardians of the Galaxy, shrouding his future in mystery. The upcoming film will reveal what Thor does next, and based on the multiple Thor: Love and Thunder trailers released so far, it seems like it is going to be an adventurous ride. While he tries to retire, Bale’s Gorr will force him to return to his duties as the God of Thunder once again.

Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 8, 2022.
