The petition can be found on Change.org, and it simply calls for Sony to change the free PS Plus games for May 2020. The petition explains that fans were especially disappointed by the lineup, as many had gotten their hopes up by the fake Dark Souls and Dying Light leak that suggested those critically-acclaimed titles would be the free games for May. Of course, Sony can hardly be faulted for fans getting excited over a fake leak, but that hasn’t stopped over 2,500 people from signing the petition so far.

People are still signing the petition to change the free PS Plus Games for May 2020 at the time of this writing, with the number of signatures growing every time the page is refreshed. But despite how popular the petition gets, it should be stressed that video game petitions almost never work, or even receive a response. Considering this, fans shouldn’t get too excited about the prospect of Sony changing the free PS Plus games for May 2020.
Then again, there is a precedent for Sony changing the free PS Plus lineup. For example, there once was a time when PES 2019 was going to be part of the free PS Plus games lineup, only for that to be changed and replaced with Detroit: Become Human instead. However, no official explanation for the change was ever given. Some speculated that Sony made the change due to a poor reaction to PES 2019 being one of the free games, whereas others think it was done to keep EA happy, since FIFA is in direct competition with PES 2019.
So while it’s technically possible that Sony will change the free PS Plus Games for May 2020, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up. In the meantime, there’s still time to download the free PS Plus Games for April 2020.
