Even robust late-week sales for what is purported to be an opening-week marquee matchup could leave a sea of empty seats at the Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL’s Cowboys.
Tickets range from $95 to $300 on Ticketmaster.
Both fan bases might be a bit neutral-site weary, given that Wisconsin opened the 2014 season against LSU in Houston and advanced to the Big Ten championship as well as the Outback Bowl. Alabama, meanwhile, began 2014 in Atlanta, playing West Virginia, and went on to play in the SEC championship and the Sugar Bowl in the College Football Playoff.
For those staying at home, the 8 p.m. ET game will be televised by ABC.
