Keep reading to find out all you need to know about Tidal’s new free tier.
Tidal Launches a Free Music Tier
In a first for the music streaming service, Tidal has launched a free music subscription option, Tidal Free, to give more music lovers access to its service.
Tidal Free is one of three of Tidal’s new subscription options, alongside Tidal HiFi, which costs $10, and Tidal HiFi Plus, which costs $20.
How Tidal’s New Free Tier Works
Tidal Free gives you access to Tidal’s entire music catalog of more than 80 million songs, videos, and curated playlists, with “limited interruptions.”
Tidal didn’t specify whether those interruptions would be from its own promotions of other subscription tiers, or if they’d be ads from third parties.
To start your free trial, simply go to Tidal’s free tier page and then follow the prompts on the screen. At the time of writing, Tidal Free is only available to users in the US, with plans to expand to other markets in the future.
Tidal’s Free Tier Means More Competition for Other Music Streaming Services
With the new free tier, people now have a reason to choose Tidal over the more popular streaming services, and those who’ve been curious about it will give it a shot.
