The golf icon sets his sights on an interview legendary golf journalist Dan Jenkins did with him for the print publication this month.

The twist? Woods didn’t actually do the interview. Jenkins made up all the questions, and made up all the answers too. The article, which was published in the December issue of the magazine was titled “My interview with Tiger Woods.” As you will see below, the questions are ridiculous and it is easy to tell that it’s not a real interview. There’s also the issue of the photos. The pictures are clearly not Tiger Woods.
Parody or not, Woods was not happy with Jenkins and Golf Digest.
The only indication that the story is fake is the orange asterisks that appear in the title “My Interview with Tiger Woods* (Or How it Played Out in My Mind). The orange asterisk then appears after every Woods’ answer.
Jenkins did in fact try to take to Woods in the wake of his extramarital scandal in November 2009, but Woods would not grant him the request. Jenkins penned a rather interesting column the following February.
Earlier this week, Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg wrote a letter to Golf Digest demanding an explanation for the fake interview.
Jenkins responded on Tuesday afternoon, saying tyhat he thinks he let Woods off easy.
Here is the interview in question, as it appears in the publication. (Click images to enlarge)
