But despite the pain, Woods had a strong showing at the inital event of this season's FedEx Cup, and as of Sunday, was in contention to win the tournament at Liberty Golf Course in Jersey City, N.J.

But following a fairway shot on the par-5 No. 13 hole, Woods fell to the ground in apparent pain, and grimmaced as his ball found its way into a nearby swamp.



As of publishing, Woods is nine-under for the tournament and is just two shots back of the lead with four holes to go.
